XP-1. Overview.
The XP-1 mobile dust collectors were originally designed for tunnel cross passage construction and sites with restricted access.
The XP-1 are complete dust collection systems featuring a dirty air intake, filter house, clean air box, silencer, exhaust, dust discharge system and centrifugal fan mounted on a single manoeuverable skid base to create 6 m3/s (12,000CFM) @ -2.5 kPa.*
* Alternative centrifugal fans can be used to optimise air volume and pressure to suit site conditions and specific applications.
Efficiency. Power.
One of the key features of the XP-1 is the inclusion of a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) as part of the standard configuration. The VFD ensures the dust collector provides the required air flow using the least amount of power. If there is insufficient air flow, the air flow meter on the dust collector will turn up the VFD to generate more air volume. Equally the air flow meter will turn down the VFD so the dust collector uses less kW for the same amount of volume depending on the temperature and conditions. This makes the units power efficient, and clients have reported they have been able to reduce their power consumption by up to 40%.

Mobility. Drag Skid
The XP-1 (6 m3/s, (12,000 CFM) Mobile, Electric, Skid) dust collector is a complete dust collection system mounted on a compact, skid base.
Dust collectors mounted on a skid base offer a cost-effective option when dust collection needs are relatively static. The skid can be dragged into position using the four rigging mounts at each end of the machine or moved by crane using the four lifting lugs.
When units need to be repositioned there is limited downtime in construction works as the complete unit can be moved easily.
Optional Configuration: Castor-Wheels
Compressed rigid castor-wheels can be added to either unit to allow further ease of movement by sliding. Castor Wheels can be supplied with or without brakes and customised to fit utility platform rails if required.
Power. Electric.
The XP-1 (6 m3/s, (12,000 CFM) Mobile, Electric, Skid) dust collector uses 415 V-3Ph-50 Hz to power the 37 kW (50 hp) centrifugal exhaust fan, while hydraulics are used to power the auger and rotary valve discharge system.

Note 1: During normal operation dust collectors achieve a filtration efficiency better than installed filter MERV rating due to dust cake build-up on filter media. Dust cake efficiency is dependent on dust type, particle sizes etc. Efficiencies of 99.99% at 0.067 micron have been achieved.
